Julio Arnedo quien fuera denominado el Rey del saxofón en Colombia y proclamado como leyenda indiscutible del jazz y la música tropical en Colombia, igualmente, es considerado un personaje histórico e ineludible dentro de la historia del jazz nacional.
Dos de sus siete hijos se han hecho músicos: Gilberto y Antonio, y también han incidido en la trayectoria del jazz y las músicas de Colombia. Los Arnedo (desde el padre de Julio y también sus tíos) son una parte robusta y cíclica, de un linaje que crea y transforma la música del país.
En esta ocasión Antonio Arnedo (1963) en la celebración de sus 60 años de vida, rinde homenaje a su padre, Julio Arnedo en uno de los escenarios fundamentales del jazz en Colombia, el Teatro Colsubsidio.
