La Orquesta Aragón es una de las instituciones musicales más emblemáticas y respetadas de la historia de la música cubana. Se les reconoce mundialmente como los "Reyes del Chachachá", responsables de difundir la elegancia de la charanga —instrumentación basada en violines, flauta, piano y percusión— por los cinco continentes. u historia es la historia de la música bailable cubana. Desde su fundación por Orestes Aragón, la orquesta ha sido el vehículo principal para la difusión del danzón, el mambo y, fundamentalmente, el chachachá. Han grabado cientos de discos y han mantenido una vigencia ininterrumpida, sobreviviendo a épocas y cambios sociales, adaptándose pero manteniendo siempre su "tumbao" característico.
