Nacido en Camagüey, Cuba, en 1956, Jorge Luis Prats Soca se formó en la Escuela Nacional de Artes de La Habana y consolidó su virtuosismo en prestigiosas instituciones europeas como el Conservatorio de París y la Academia Superior de Música y Arte Escénico de Viena.
A los 20 años, Prats Soca obtuvo el Primer Gran Premio en el Concurso Internacional Marguerite Long-Jacques Thibaud, un hito que marcó el inicio de una brillante carrera internacional. Su repertorio abarca un amplio espectro, desde los grandes clásicos como Mozart, Beethoven, Brahms y Rachmaninov, hasta compositores franceses y rusos.
A lo largo de su trayectoria, ha actuado en las salas de concierto más importantes del mundo y ha colaborado con prestigiosas orquestas como la BBC Philharmonic, la Filarmónica de Berlín y la Orquesta de la Ciudad de México. Sus giras lo han llevado a recorrer Europa, América y Asia, consolidando su reputación como uno de los pianistas más destacados de su generación.
