Piero de Benedictis, conocido simplemente como Piero, es un cantautor ítalo-argentino radicado en Colombia desde hace décadas. Si bien es una leyenda de la canción social y el rock en español, su faceta como creador de música infantil revolucionó el género en los años 70 y 80 con una propuesta cargada de humor, surrealismo y valores ecológicos.
"La Sinfonía Inconclusa en la Mar" Es una obra conceptual basada en los poemas del costarricense Alejandro Fabregat. Narra las peripecias de una orquesta de animales marinos (el pulpo director, las focas desafinadas, el calamar) que intentan ensayar bajo el agua. Es una pieza que combina la música orquestal con la narrativa lúdica, enseñando a los niños sobre instrumentos musicales, respeto por el océano y la importancia de la persistencia.
